We really enjoyed staying in this beautiful property overlooking the Animas River - it was perfect for our group. The narrow gauge train passes by several times a day offering a fun experience. The home is immaculate with beautiful furnishings. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything one might need. Would definitely stay again!

Great location, awesome property
This property was exactly as described. It was beautifully updated and extremely clean. The view of Animas mountain and open space behind it made it very serene. The train passing by with it’s whistle blowing was a charming feel—it happened about 4-5 times per day but not too early and not too late. It is on the north end of town so more peaceful. If you want to party—this is not the place for you. If you want to relax in a peaceful residential setting, it definitely is!

Escape from the Arizona heat!

Great place to stay; close to downtown, but far enough away to enjoy nature. Fantastic to sit outside on the patio and watch the train go by a few times a day. Home was very clean and inviting with all the amenities provided. Home does lack use of a closet in the master bedroom though. Overall, it’s a fantastic property.

Absolutely loved the Townhome and location!

This townhome is absolutely gorgeous. well equipped to meet your needs. Loved the details and the moose motif! The beds were comfortable unfortunately the pillows were not.... marginal at best. Also the carpet either needed to be cleaned or replaced. Another request is a more comfortable seating for the patio. It was very uncomfortable..we couldn't sit out and the patio with wonderful view.

The townhome was as lovely as the pictures represented. It quickly became a home away from home with the comfortable living area and beautiful kitchen. The mountain views were breathtaking and it was always a delight seeing the train passengers come by each morning and evening.

Great base for adventure
My family of four (including twin 14 year old sons) throughly enjoyed our stay. We did lots of hiking, and it was so nice to have two showers with hot water and laundry facilities for our dirty clothes. We ate most meals at “home” and were lacking nothing in the kitchen. The property was very clean and well maintained. A perfect stay! Highly recommended.

Clean; comfortable; great kitchen; close to bike trail
This condo was the perfect location. Bike trail nearby. Walking path on site. Watch the train go by. Clean! Great kitchen. Comfortable bed. Nice size garage. Ate outdoors at James Ranch. Durango Joe’s kiosk for coffee and burritos.

Nice townhome great location

We had a great stay at this townhouse. It is beautifully upgraded, well stocked, and was meticulously clean. The balconies are great for enjoying the pretty view. The location is very convenient to downtown and easy to get to the Purgatory area and mountains further north. Only improvement would be a Keurig style coffee maker!

Durango - Narrow Guage Moon Shadows

Well, Jackson Hole was full due to the Great Eclipse of 2017, so my 2nd favorite mountain cowboy town got the nod.
This place has the best alarm clock ever, a real, live, steam engine just out the window/patio. Very nice property, great red rock views, good kitchen, entertainment, baths, garage, etc.
From mountain biking at Purgatory, taking the narrow gauge Durango Silverton RR during the eclipse with thunderstorms, to day trips to Mesa Verde & shoot-outs in town, Durango and area was a gem.

Crimson Cliffs #5 was just what I was hoping for when I booked this townhome. The unit was very clean, very nicely furnished, nice view, 2 car garage and 3 balcony's. Management company was easy to deal with.

Although skiing was minimal, we had a great vacation visiting National Parks and hiking around Durango. Time spent in town and riding the train rounded out our vacation. Durango offers so much and is so close to so many interesting things. We would have loved to ski more but Mother Nature was not on our side.

Cozy, well-stocked rental with stellar views
I loved this comfortable and spotlessly-clean property. The views of Animas Valley and Missionary Ridge are gorgeous and the neighborhood is friendly. I disagree with reviews that say there are too many personal items: I think the owners were thoughtfully trying to provide everything a vacationer might need. Perhaps it was the overt religious displays that turned off some or seemed preachy. The owners might consider removing them or including books, etc, from other religions to avoid proselytizing. It's great to have the trolley, dog run and picnic area and full garage. The house shakes from the passing trains and you can hear the neighbors music/TV/radio through the living room wall which could bother some, but it did not distract from our time since that only happened periodically. I do agree with the reviews that say the couch pillows need to be changed. They are very itchy and the down feathers get everywhere so we couldn't use them. My other recommendations would be to install shades that go all the way the floor as anyone can see in the unit--especially in the downstairs bedroom--and to install bolt locks that can only be turned from the inside for property security as anyone with a copy of the key or the keypad code can enter the unit. I always carry portable, adjustable Master security bars that can be wedged against the door handles to prevent someone from barging in. Overall, I would give this unit a 4.5 out of 5 stars with a potential for a 5 if those shades for privacy and locks for security issues were addressed. The coziness and views get a 5 plus!! Keith the manager was wonderful to work with.

Perfect mountain weather.

The rental was clean, very we'll furnished and appointed and perfectly located for access to hiking and town for dining and shopping. While we would use this rental again we suggest you reconsider not issuing keys to your guests. At times the garage door gave us problems and we did not like leaving valuables in a rental which is accessible to anyone with the code.

Great condo. Beautiful views. Close to town yet out of the hussle. Transit stop in front of complex. Very clean condo, nicely furnished and well stocked kitchen. Limited parking, may contact property manager if you are in the area to do jeeping or have other toys that you trailer. Very close to train track, fun to see each morning. Great communication by property manager.
Nice place in a good location with just a few minor issues

A contemporary and comfortable property in a good location 10 minutes from downtown Durango. Some minor fixes/upgrades would make it a five-star place, e.g, there's no master closet (it's locked for the owners), the pillows need an upgrade and there's no dresser in one of the bedrooms. Keith, the property manager, was very helpful.
